Previously, he was a Manager for U.S. Climate Policy at Environmental Defense Fund, where he developed federal policy approaches to enable an equitable transition to a 100% clean economy, including through energy innovation, clean manufacturing, and support for workers in legacy energy communities. Jake has also served as a senior policy advisor to Data for Progress, researcher at Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy, data analyst at Red Ventures, and policy assistant for energy and climate in the Obama White House.
Jake holds an M.P.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a 2020 Clean Energy Leadership Institute fellow.
