Jake Higdon is an Energy Innovation Impact Fellow at Day One Project, a science and technology policy initiative from the Federation of American Scientists (FAS). Previously, he was a Manager for U.S. Climate Policy at Environmental Defense Fund, where he developed federal policy approaches to enable an equitable transition to a 100% clean economy, including through energy innovation, clean manufacturing, and support for workers in legacy energy communities. Jake has also served as a senior policy advisor to Data for Progress, researcher at Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy, a data analyst at Red Ventures, and a policy assistant for energy and climate in the Obama White House.
Jake holds an M.P.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a 2020 Clean Energy Leadership Institute fellow.
